This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to respondents Nos.2 and 3 to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 29.8.2016 and take immediate steps. 2.
Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.
The main grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner obtained the lease of the subject premises for a period of 49 years and a group of persons, who are inimical towards the lessor trespassed into the leased premises, abused and threatened him. The petitioner lodged a complaint dated 29.8.2016. But no action was taken so far. 4.
Considering the circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:
"Respondents Nos.2 and 3 are directed to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 29.8.2016, if it discloses any cognizable offence and proceed in accordance with law. If the above respondents fail to register the complaint, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the higher officials or to avail the remedies that are available under Cr.P.C."
There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
