This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, as illegal and arbitrary. Heard Sri Resu Mahender Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Endowments, appearing for respondents Nos.1 & 2 and Sri A.Sreekanth Reddy, learned counsel, appearing for respondent No.3.
It has been contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that when the writ petition came up for admission and hearing on 03.03.2015, this court was pleased to pass an interim direction, directing the Commissioner of Endowments, Government of Andhra Pradesh, to take appropriate decision on the proposal submitted by the Executive Officer of Sri Bramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamyvari Devasthanam, Srisailam, with regard to permitting the Executive Officer to appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds and communicate the decision taken thereon. The learned counsel has further submitted that pursuant to the said interim directions, the case of the petitioner was considered and the petitioner was appointed as Attender, vide proceedings dated 16.10.2015, issued by respondent No.3, and therefore, the cause in this writ petition does not survive and no further orders need be passed. Recording the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs.
