In this Writ Petition, petitioner is seeking stay of public auction notified by the 1st respondent of the land belonging to it, which is expected to take place on 24.03.2018. 2.

Petitioner claims to be a tenant of the land but he is unable to show any subsisting lease deed in his favour. 3.

Under section 82 of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, leases of the agricultural lands belonging to or given or endowed for the purpose of any institution or endowment prior to the date of commencement of the said Act, stand cancelled unless the lessee is a landless poor person.

In my opinion, there being no such evidence, petitioner has no right to continue to enjoy the subject land and seek to stop the public auction notified by the 1st respondent. 5.

Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed at the admission stage. No order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
