The Court made the following :

ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed challenging the seizure of 8337.56 Quintals of paddy, 930.70 Quintals of rice, 198 Quintals of broken rice and 68 Quintals of bran, by the respondents.

At the hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Civil Supplies (AP) submitted that on 8-6-2012, respondent No.2 has concluded the proceedings under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

In view of this subsequent event, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication. The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed as infructuous.

As a sequel to the dismissal of the Writ Petition, WPMP No.7198 of 2012 is dismissed as infructuous.
