Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. 2.

Petitioner claims that he is the owner and possessor of lands admeasuring Ac.0.32 guntas in Survey No.21/E, Ac.0.14 guntas in Survey No.163/A of Bheemaram Village and Ac.0.13 guntas in Survey No.8/E of Endabetla Village, Nagarkurnool Mandal, having succeeded to the said property from his father. He alleges that his father was granted pattadar passbook and title deeds. After demise of his father, he submitted application dated 01.09.2017 for mutation of his name in the revenue records under Section 40 of the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the said application was assigned Case No.1285/2017 by the Deputy Collector-cum-Mandal Revenue Officer, Nagarkurnool, so far no orders are passed. Hence, this Writ Petition. 3.

If what is contended by the petitioner is true and such an application was received by the Tahsildar, Nagarkurnool Mandal, the Tahsildar is directed to examine the claim of the petitioner as ventilated in his application and take appropriate decision on due consideration of the application within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
