The grievance of the petitioner was that the police authorities were interfering in his civil dispute with the 4th respondent and pressurizing him to settle the matter.

Relying on the written instructions dated 25.07.2012 received from the Station House Officer, Bhimavaram Rural Police Station, West Godavari District, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home stated that upon the complaint made by the 4th respondent against the petitioner and an other, Crime No.56 of 2012 had been registered under Sections 323, 447 and 506 I.P.C. read with Section 34 I.P.C. on the file of Bhimavaram Rural Police Station. She stated that the matter was under investigation at that stage and in the course of such investigation, the police authorities examined the petitioner. She further stated that there was no interference in the petitioner's civil dispute with the 4th respondent.

In the light of the afore-stated facts, the complaint of the

petitioner that the police authorities were interfering with his personal disputes with the 4th respondent and summoning him and his family members to the police station without just cause is shown to be baseless. Once a crime was registered against the petitioner, the police authorities were bound to carry out investigation therein and in that process, subject the petitioner, an accused therein, to examination. To that extent the petitioner can have no redressable grievance. Needless to state, the police are bound to abide by the due procedure laid down by law while carrying out the necessary investigation and taking appropriate action thereafter. Subject to the above observations, the writ petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
