O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioners was with regard to a clause in the e-procurement tender-cum-public auction notice dated 28.02.2014 issued by Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy Devasthanam, Vemulawada, Karimnagar District, for engaging male and female barbers at the second Kalyanakatta, Vemulawada, on the ground that the said clause was violative of the hereditary rights of the petitioners.

By order dated 14.03.2014, this Court directed that the auction scheduled to be held pursuant to the impugned tender-cum-public auction notice dated 28.02.2014 would be subject to further orders. However, it is now stated by Sri Ch. Satish Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent Devasthanam, that the period reserved under the impugned tender notice has already expired as it was from 01.04.2014 to 31.03.2016. In that view of the matter, the cause in this writ petition is rendered purely academic and does not warrant consideration on merits.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed on this short ground. The issue sought to be raised in this writ petition is however left open for adjudication, if warranted, in future.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
