When the matter is called for hearing, none appears for the petitioners and there is no representation on their behalf. 2.

In fact, the proceeding sheet would show that, while issuing notice before admission, by order dated 16.05.2007, the present writ petition was directed to be listed along with W.P.No.1419 of 2007. Subsequently, the writ petition was admitted, by order dated 04.02.2008.

The endorsement of the Registry would show that W.P.No.1419 of 2007 was disposed of on 08.10.2007. A perusal of the order dated 08.10.2007 shows that basing on the representation made by the learned counsel for petitioners therein that the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication, the said writ petition was dismissed as infructuous.

Since, the relief sought in the present writ petition appears to be similar to the relief sought in W.P.No.1419 of 2007, it appears that the petitioners are not evincing any interest in prosecuting the matter, perhaps, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
