CVNR, J & KVL, J WP.No.33284 of 2017 Dated:05.10.2017 ORDER: (per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for Certiorari to quash order, dated 10.7.2014, in Original Application No.8802 of 2011 on the file of the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal at Hyderabad (for short 'the Tribunal').

By the afore-mentioned order, the Tribunal set aside memo No.6693/CPR&RE/A1/2011, dated 05.9.2011, issued by the petitioners and issued a direction to them to issue orders granting notional promotion to the respondent from the date his immediate junior was promoted as Mandal Parishad Development Officer on regular basis. While we do not find any error in the impugned order of the Tribunal, we also notice that the same was passed as far back as 10.7.2014. No reasons whatsoever have been assigned by the petitioners for their approaching this Court with a delay of more than three years. The law is well settled that a person who is not diligent in pursuing his cause, is not entitled to invoke the discretionary jurisdiction of this Court under Article-226 of the Constitution of India. (See Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board and Ors. Vs. T.T.Murali Babu1) As the petitioners failed to offer any explanation whatsoever for the inordinate delay in filing the Writ Petition, 1 2014 (4) SCC 108

CVNR, J & KVL, J WP.No.33284 of 2017 Dated:05.10.2017 we are not inclined to entertain the same for adjudication on merits.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed. As a sequel, WPMP.No.41400 of 2017 stands dismissed as infructuous.
