THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY WRIT PETITION No.6469 of 2004 ORDER:
The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not appointing the petitioner to the post of Conductor in the respondents organization as highly illegal, arbitrary and violative of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner to the post of Conductor as per his selection by the Selection Committee vide proceedings No.C1/684(1)99-HCR dated 19.01.2001 of the first respondent on par with similarly situated candidates and to pass such other necessary orders.
At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the purpose of filing the writ petition becomes infructuous.
In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
