Heard Sri C.Raghu, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Smt. G.Aruna, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petition is filed questioning the appointment of In-charge Superintending Engineer.

He further submits that subsequent to the filing of writ petition, a permanent Superintending Engineer came to be appointed and, hence, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Recording the said submission, the present writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
