HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.5391 of 2014 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, the petitioners seek to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.416 of 2012 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, at Khammam, which was registered against them for the offences under Sections 498-A IPC and Sections 4 & 6 of D.P. Act.

2) When the matter came up for hearing, learned Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 09.01.2018 of Sub-Inspector of Police, W.P.S, Khammam, and submitted that the case was compromised before Lok-Adalat on 10.07.2015 and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.416 of 2012 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, at Khammam, has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed. 3) There is no representation for petitioners.

4) In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
