O R D E R

The prayer of the petitioner in this case reads as under: 'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ, Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ OF MANDAMUS, declaring the action of the respondents herein in not considering the application filed by the petitioner for Regularization under G.O.Ms.No.747, dated 18.6.2007, Revenue, acknowledgment dated 30.08.2008, in respect of land in Survey Nos.303 to 306, admeasuring 2000 sq. yards situated at Balapur Village, Saroornagar Mandal, Rang Reddy District, TS as illegal, arbitrary and unjust and direct the respondents to consider the Regularization Application No.549, declaration No.J/83-87/87 and the Special Officer Competent Authority ULC, filed by the petitioner under G.O.Ms.No.

747 Revenue, acknowledgment dated 30.08.2008 in respect of land in survey Nos.303 to 306, admeasuring 2000 sq. yards situated at Balapur Village, Sroornagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.'

As it is the claim of the petitioner that he made the required payment also as long back as in the year 2008, it is not open to the authorities to keep his application for regularisation pending indefinitely. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the District Collector, Hyderabad District, to take appropriate action upon the petitioner's regularisation application expeditiously and in any event, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order,

be it from whatever source. In the meanwhile, status quo obtaining as on date with regard to possession shall be maintained. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
