THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.38348 of 2015 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner was that the respondent authorities failed to provide him security by way of a gunman or a gun licence pursuant to his representations dated 29.10.2015 and 30.10.2015.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, having received written instructions from the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Intelligence Security Wing, Andhra Pradesh, informed this Court that the petitioner's representations were considered by the security review committee in its meeting held on 13.11.2015 and it was decided not to provide any security to him as there were no specific threats faced by him.

In the light of the afore-stated development, the grievance of the petitioner as to consideration of his representations stands settled and no adjudication is warranted in this writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. This order shall however not preclude the petitioner from assailing the decision of the security review committee in accordance with law, if so advised. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
