ORDER: (per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for quashing detention order, vide proceedings Roc.No.C2/7613/2015, dated 24.11.2015, of respondent No.2, as confirmed by G.O.Rt.No.105, General Administration (Law and Order)
Department, dated 12.01.2016, of respondent No.1, by issuing a writ of Habeas Corpus.
At the hearing, Mr. P.Vamsheedhar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, has submitted that the main ground on which the detenu, who is the husband of the petitioner, was detained was that his activities are prejudicial to public peace and law and order and that, dealing with a similar ground, the Division Bench of this Court by order, dated 14.12.2015, in Writ Petition No.35692 of 2015 quashed the detention order and that Writ Petition Nos.1321, 1346 and 1368 of 2016, filed on similar ground, were also allowed by this Bench by separate orders, dated 08.6.2016.
This submission is admitted by Mr. C.S.Surya Prakash Rao, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the State of Andhra Pradesh.
In the light of the above facts and following the afore-mentioned orders of this Court, the impugned detention order and the confirmation order are quashed. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, allowed.
As a sequel to disposal of the Writ Petition, WPMP.Nos.2973 and 23953 of 2016 filed by the petitioner are disposed of as infructuous.
