THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SATISH CHANDRA SHARMA AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION No.236 OF 2012 ORDER: (Per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma) Learned Government Advocate has informed this Court that there are other writ petitions i.e., WP(PIL).Nos.251, 32, 109 & 252 of 2020 and W.P.Nos.19158 and 24492 of 2020, in respect of the same subject matter i.e., for taking appropriate action in respect of encroachments of lakes.

This Court has requisitioned the record of the aforesaid writ petitions. The same reveals that in respect of the entire State, a survey has been carried out and all steps are being taken to remove the encroachments after following due process of law. In the considered opinion of this Court, as the aforesaid writ petitions are pending in respect of the subject lakes, the present public interest litigation stands disposed of, as the controversy involved in the present writ public interest litigation can certainly be looked into in those matters.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
