Kolli Rama Murthy, v. Dr. Manmohan Singh, Ias,
THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE Mr. JUSTICE M. GANGA RAO Contempt Case No.773 of 2018 Order: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) Sri M. Balaji, learned counsel for the petitioners, states that the order of this Court, violation of which is alleged in this Contempt Case, necessitated compliance within three months; by over sight, the Contempt Case is filed even before expiry of the three months period stipulated in the order and, instead of keeping the Contempt Case pending on the file of this Court, it would suffice if the Contempt Case were to be closed leaving it open to the petitioners to invoke the contempt jurisdiction of this Court after expiry of the period of three months stipulated in the order, in case the order is not complied with by then.
As the order, violation of which is alleged in this Contempt Case, is required to be complied with within three months, and as the three months period has not yet expired, the Contempt Case, as filed, is premature and is, accordingly, closed.
