THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CIVIL REVISION PETITION No.2126 of 2017 ORDER:

This Civil Revision Petition, under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, is filed questioning the II Additional Rent Controller at Hyderabad on the ground that R.C. No.278 of 2008 is being adjourned on one pretext or the other and the matter went on more than 100 adjournments.

The court may not grant more than three adjournments to each of the parties under Rule 1 of Order XVII of CPC. Granting more than three adjournments is against the purport of the amended CPC.

Taking into consideration the age of the matter pending before the court and the adjournments underwent before the Rent Controller, I deem it appropriate to direct the II Additional Rent Controller at Hyderabad to decide R.C. No.278 of 2008, as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the civil revision petition is disposed of. No costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this civil revision petition shall stand closed.
