HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. SHANKAR NARAYANA M.A.C.M.A. No. 1194 of 2005 JUDGMENT:
The instant MACMA is preferred by the third respondent - Oriental Insurance Company Limited, represented by its Divisional Manager, Rajahmundry, in OP No.1070 of 2000 on the file of the Chairman, Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal-cum-I Additional District Judge, East Godavari, Rajahmundry, aggrieved by the order, dated 04.02.2005, granting a sum of Rs.1,61,600/- towards compensation to the petitioner who sustained injuries in a road accident with interest at 9% p.a., fastening the joint and several liability on respondents 1 to 3 to pay the same.
2. Challenge is mainly in regard to quantum of compensation awarded by the Tribunal in the instant MACMA.
3. There is no representation for the appellant, despite listing the matter under the caption "for dismissal".
4. Hence, the instant MACMA is dismissed for non-prosecution. There shall be no order as to costs.
5. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in the appeal, shall stand closed.
