The grievance of the petitioners in these cases was that the Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, was not undertaking survey operations in relation to the lands claimed by them despite applications being made in the prescribed format. Perusal of the record reflects that the petitioners submitted applications online by way of F-line petitions but despite the same, no steps seem to have been taken.

It is not open to the authorities to remain inactive once an application is made to them in the prescribed format. The writ petitions are accordingly disposed of directing the Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, to take appropriate action upon the petitioners' applications in accordance with law expeditiously and in any event, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, be it from whatever source.
