After arguing the matter for sometime, learned counsel for petitioner submits that the remedy of revision is equally efficacious and the petitioner may be given liberty to file revision before the Joint Collector. He requests the Court to suspend the order impugned in the writ petition for limited period.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that the issue arises under the A.P.Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Act, 1977 (for short 'the Act') and as regards possession is concerned, the same cannot be an issue for decision in the revision. As to the interim suspension of the order impugned, it is submitted that the authorities can be directed to maintain status-quo as regards entries for a period of ten days.

The statement is placed on record.

The petitioner is given liberty to work out the relief by filing revision under Section 9 of the Act before the Joint Collector. The parties are directed to maintain status-quo, as on today, as regards entries and possession, for a period of ten (10) days from today. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
