ORDER:

Petitioners challenge the T.O.O. (Addl.Secy.-Per) Ms.No.67, dated 21.05.2011, where under transfer guidelines were notified. Petitioners are challenging the Guideline No.9, which reads as under:

"Women employees may be transferred to some other post as far as possible in the same station. If there is no post in the same station to accommodate her, she may be transferred to the nearest outside station."

The contention urged against said clause is that it is discriminatory and by virtue of that term, women employees continuing to work at the same station, depriving the petitioners from opting places of their choices and to come over to Urban areas from Rural areas.

Reading of the guidelines would show that these guidelines were notified for the year 2011-12. At the stage of admission, no interim order was granted and WPMP No.18393 of 2011 was dismissed.

In view of the nature of guidelines under challenge and the subject matter of the writ petition concerns the transfer for the year 2011-12, the cause in the writ petition does not survive and writ petition is accordingly dismissed.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
