When these matters are taken up for hearing, it has been reported by the learned Standing Counsel for the 1st respondentCorporation that the petitioners have been selected in pursuance of the notification issued subsequently after filing the present writ petition and therefore, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. These facts were not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioners.

In view of the same, the cause in the present writ petition does not survive and the writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.
