ORDER
This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/accused seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.153 of 2016 of Punjagutta Police Station, Hyderabad, registered for the offence punishable under Section 3(1)(v) (x) of SCs & STS (POA) Act, 1989, against her. 2.
It is alleged in the complaint that the de facto complainant is a tenant in the house of the accused. While so, for the last three to four years from the date of complaint i.e., 26.02.2016, the accused used to harass him and abuse him in the name of his caste and intentionally insulting him and his family. Based on the complaint, the aforesaid crime was registered against the accused.
3. Since there are serious allegations in the complaint, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, as the petitioner being a lady, aged 71 years, the police concerned are directed to complete the investigation without arresting her and file a final report, if any, in accordance with law. The petitioner/accused is directed to appear before the investigating agency as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency. 4.
With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
