HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.3683 OF 2018 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/A-1 to A-5 under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to quash proceedings against them in C.C. No.203 of 2017 on the file of Special Mobile Magistrate, Guntur, registered for the offences under Sections 498-A and 506 I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners would fairly submit that she is not seeking for quashment of the proceedings but, in view of the fact that the petitioners/A-2 and A-3 are aged persons and the petitioner/A-4 is the brother and the petitioner/A-5 is the uncle of A-1 and residing in Prakasam District, their appearance may be dispensed with.

Considering the said submission, the appearance of petitioners/A-2 to A-5 is dispensed with before the trial Court, except on the occasions when the trial Court requires their attendance. 4.

The Criminal Petition is disposed of, accordingly. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any, pending, shall stand closed.
