The issue raised in this writ petition is, whether the respondent was justified in issuing transfer guidelines vide proceedings dated 20.07.2003.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the petitioner had retired from service during pendency of the writ petition. Therefore, the cause in the writ petition does not survive and, accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
