Perusal of the prayer in this writ petition demonstrates that the land in question, which is allegedly a Government land, is being encroached upon by the unofficial respondents and the petitioner is acting in public interest in seeking their eviction so that the said land could be used for community purposes.

A writ petition in public interest has to be filed in accordance with the rules framed by this Court for that purpose. This writ petition, as framed, therefore cannot be entertained and is accordingly dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to file a writ petition in public interest, if he so chooses, in accordance with the relevant rules.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
