This writ petition was filed assailing the alleged action of the police authorities in interfering in the petitioner's civil disputes relating to the agricultural land admeasuring Ac.2.00 gts. in Sy.No.549 of Uppal Kalasa Village, Uppal Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.

The petitioner alleged that the police authorities are calling him to the police station and threatening him.

The matter has been pending on the file of this Court for over four years but notice has not even been ordered to the respondents till date. Sri Narasimhulu Parise, learned counsel for the petitioner, is unable to state

as to whether the cause still survives, as his client is not in contact with him. This Court sees no purpose in keeping the matter pending. In the event the police authorities require the attendance of the petitioner in connection with any criminal case, they are bound by law to follow the due procedure laid down in that regard.

Reserving liberty to the police authorities to do so, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
