This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the 1st respondent in not passing orders for absorption of the petitioner as Reader in Zoology in the 2nd respondent college, as illegal and arbitrary.

Since the petitioner had retired from service during pendency of the writ petition, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
