Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

The petitioner states that he was granted a licence bearing No.17/2014-2015 as per the provisions of the A.P. Excise (Grant of licence of selling by shop and Conditions of licence) Rules, 2012 and was running a shop in the name and style of M/s. Ganga Wines at Nellore Bus Stand, Ongole. While so, the fourth respondent issued proceedings in R.C.No.78/2014/C1 dated 30.04.2015 suspending the licence of the petitioner's business with immediate effect pending enquiry in the case while giving seven days time for offering his explanation for proposed cancellation of licence. The petitioner states that he submitted his explanation on 08.05.2015.

In the circumstances, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the explanation submitted by the petitioner on 08.05.2015, if it was received by him, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in the Writ Petition shall stand closed.
