ORDER:

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has made intimation to the Tahsildar, Vidavalur Mandal (2nd respondent) on 02.06.2014 and 24.07.2014 for grant of pattadar passbooks. As no orders are passed, the present writ petition is filed.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in similar circumstances, this Court passed orders on 14.10.2014 in W.P.No.29734 of 2014.

3. Under Section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971, any person acquiring any right as owner, pattadar, mortgagee, occupant or tenant of a land and any person acquiring any right as occupant of a land by any other method shall intimate, in writing, his acquisition of such right to the Mandal Revenue Officer within 90 days from the date of such acquisition and the said Mandal Revenue Officer shall give or send a written acknowledgment of the receipt of such intimation to the person making it. Thereafter, under Section 5, the Mandal Revenue Officer shall determine as to whether and if so, in what manner the record of rights may be amended in consequence thereof and shall carry out the amendment in the record of rights in accordance with such determination.

4. It is therefore, clear that the Mandal Revenue Officer or the

Tahsildar, Vidavalur Mandal, S.P.S.R. Nellore District (2nd respondent), has the authority to deal with the intimation furnished by the petitioner on 02.06.2014 and 24.07.2014.

5. Having regard to the same, the Tahsildar, Vidavalur Mandal (2nd respondent) is directed to deal with the intimation sent by the petitioner on 02.06.2014 and 24.07.2014 and pass appropriate orders thereon and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed. ______________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY, J Date: 12th April, 2016 KL
