This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus to declare the action of the 3rd Respondent in obtaining the signatures of the petitioner on some blank papers, at the behest of Respondent Nos.5 and 6, and causing interference in the civil issue, as illegal, arbitrary and incorrect, and consequently to direct the 2nd Respondent to take action against the 3rd respondent for misusing his official power.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home and with their consent the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself. 3.

The learned Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submits that on 01.06.2017 a case in Crime No.149 of 2017 was registered against the petitioner and others and the Police officials are investigating into the said crime. However, the learned Government Pleader denies the involvement of the police in civil disputes pending between the parties and also taking signatures of the petitioner on blank papers.

Having regard to the above and in view of the statement made by the Government Pleader for Home, across the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondents-Police not to interfere with the civil disputes pending between the parties. If the petitioner is involved in the above said crime, as alleged, and

if the Respondents-Police intend to take any action against the petitioner in the said crime, the same shall be in accordance with law.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed accordingly.
