The case of the petitioner is that she completed M.B.B.S course on 27.05.2008 and was allowed to practice as a Doctor by the Medical Council of India by allotting the Registration No.64599 on 18.07.2009. Thereafter, she pursued Post Graduation Degree and awarded the P.G.Degree of Doctor of Medicine in Community Medicine on 09.11.2017. Petitioner applied for the post of Civil Assistant Surgeon on Contract basis during August, 2012 and there after she was appointed as Civil Assistant Surgeon on contract basis and posted to P.H.C. Pedda Dornala, Prakasam district as a Medical Officer on 03.09.2012. Later she resigned to the said post on 06.04.2014.
Thereafter, the Government of Telangana through the Directorate of Public, Health and Family Welfare Department issued Notification No.01/2017, dated 08.12.2017 inviting applications through online mode from the eligible candidates for the post of Civil Assistant Surgeon to work in Primary Health Centers and Community Health Centres under the Control of the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, Telangana State, on regular basis. The said notification stipulates that weight-age of upto 20 marks would be given to candidates who are working as Civil Assistant Surgeons on contract basis in Telangana State. But, while accepting the application of the petitioner, the service
rendered by the petitioner on contract basis as Civil Assistant Surgeon for a period of 19 months in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh was not considered. Aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not allotting the requisite weight-age marks, petitioner submitted representation on 23.02.2018 requesting to give weight-age of marks for the services rendered by the petitioner prior to 02.06.2014 in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh for further process of recruitment. In the said representation the petitioner also referred the order passed by this Court in WP.No.1385/2018 filed by the similarly placed persons wherein this Court by recording the undertaking given by the learned Advocate General for the State of Telangana that weightage of marks, for services rendered prior to 02.06.2014 in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh, would be given weightage to eligible candidates for the ensuing selection and appointment to the post of Civil Assistant Surgeons, closed the writ petition. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Medical, Health and Family Welfare has not disputed the order dated 19.02.2018 passed by this Court in WP.No.1385/2018. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the order dated 19.02.2018 passed by this Court in WP.No.1385 of 2018, and
the respondents are directed to consider the case of petitioner in extending the benefit as was extended to the petitioners in the aforesaid writ petition.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
