Heard counsel for the petitioner and the Government Pleader for Services-III appearing for respondents 1 to 3. 2.

Petitioner is working as Senior Assistant in the Office of the 1st respondent.

Petitioner contends that a Provisional Senior List of the Senior Assistants in the Office of the 1st respondent was notified on 08.11.2017 calling for objections from individuals; petitioner submitted her objections on 15.11.2017 to the said Provisional Seniority List, which was also acknowledged by the 1st respondent; but the said objections have not been considered till date.

The Government Pleader for Services-III appearing for respondents 1 to 3 states that respondents 1 to 3 have not yet considered the objections of the petitioner.

Admittedly, almost one year has elapsed since the filing of objections by the petitioner to the Provisional Seniority List. The respondents 1 to 3 cannot sit idle without deciding the said objections for this length of time when there does not seem to be any impediment to the respondents 1 to 3 to take a decision on the objections filed by the petitioner.

Therefore, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider within three (03) weeks from today the objections submitted by the petitioner on 15.11.2017 to the Provisional Seniority List issued vide proceedings dt.08.11.2017 and communicate his decision to the petitioner. No order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
