THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.20599 of 2017 ORDER:

When the matter is taken up, written instructions furnished by the Passport Granting Officer, Passport Office, Hyderabad, dated 30.06.2017, are placed on record by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. The said written instructions read as under:- "1) The petitioner has initially obtained passport bearing No.F3525428, dated 01.08.2005 valid up to 31.07.2015 with date of birth as 01.01.1984 by submitting birth certificate from Panchayathi Secretary, Dharmapuri (village and Mandal) Annexure-I.

2) The above said passport was issued to the petitioner after verification of antecedents and on receipt of clear report from the police authorities. (Annexure-II).

3) The petitioner has not approached this respondent office for correction of his date of birth in the passport.

4) If the petitioner approaches this respondent office by submitting passport application for connection of date of birth with requisite fees and documents, this office has no objection to process the application, as per the extant rules."

Having regard to the contents of the said written instructions, leaving it open for the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the respondent-authorities along with the relevant documents for consideration of the same by the respondents, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
