THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM I.A.Nos. 3 and 4 of 2019 and CRIMINAL PETITION No. 3469 of 2019 COMMON ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.738 of 2016 on the file of I Additional District Judge-cum-Metropolitan Sessions Judge, L.B. Nagar, Ranga Reddy District, against the petitioners/A.1 and A.2 with respect to Crime No.229 of 2015, of Vanasthalipuram Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Section 354(A)(1)(i) IPC and Section 21(2) of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012.

During pendency of this petition, the de facto complainant and the victim filed I.A.Nos.3 and 4 of 2019 seeking permission of this Court to record the compromise and for quashing the proceedings in S.C.No.738 of 2016 on the file of I Additional District Judge-cum-Metropolitan Sessions Judge, L.B. Nagar, Ranga Reddy District, by stating that the matter is settled outside the Court amicably. A joint memo signed by both the parties is also filed to that effect.

Today, the de facto complainant as well as the victim, and A.1 and A.2 are present and are identified by their respective counsel. When examined, the de facto complainant and victim

CKR, J Crl.P.No.3469 of 2019 have stated that the matter has been settled outside the Court and they have no objection to compound the offences. Considering the above and in view of the decision reported in Gian Singh v. State of Punjab and another1, I.A.Nos.3 and 4 are allowed and the parties are permitted to compound the offences in S.C.No.738 of 2016 on the file of I Additional District Judge-cum-Metropolitan Sessions Judge, L.B. Nagar, Ranga Reddy District.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the proceedings against the petitioners/A.1 and A.2 in S.C.No.738 of 2016 are hereby quashed.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
