THE HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE J. UMA DEVI CRIMINAL PETITION No.4639 OF 2011 ORDER:
This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.48 of 2011 of Nandyal III Town Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Section 324 read with 34 I.P.C. and Section 3 (1) (x) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Public Prosecutor.
3. It is reported by the learned Public Prosecutor that the Superintendent of Police, Kurnool, vide letter, dated 18.04.2012, accorded permission to refer the case in Crime No.48 of 2011 of Nandyal III Town Police Station as a "false" one.
4. Taking note of the above mentioned fact, which is brought to the notice of the Court by the learned Public Prosecutor, duly furnishing copy of the letter, dated 18.04.2012, addressed by the Superintendent of Police, Kurnool, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
5. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
