Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home. With consent of the counsel appearing for both sides, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

2. The present Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents, particularly the 4th respondent, in not registering and conducting investigation on the complaint, dated 23.11.2015, made by the petitioner as illegal and arbitrary.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner mainly submits that in spite of lodging a report in the month of November, 2015, the respondents- police have not registered a crime till date.

4. Learned Government Pleader submits that the allegations in the report do not make out any offence for registering a crime.

5. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in case the respondents-police register a crime and file a final report, the petitioner may be given liberty to file a protest petition and in case of dismissal of the protest petition, he may be given an option to file a private complaint in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code.

6. Giving liberty to avail all the remedies available under law, in case of filing a final report, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in

this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
