.....Respondents The Court made the following:
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION NO.27812 of 2017 ORDER:
Heard.
2.
Petitioners claim to be the owners of land to an extent of Ac.5-20 cents in Sy.Nos.73/2 and 5 of Duvvada Village of Gajuwaka Mandal, Visakhapatnam District. According to the petitioners the status of land is changed from Zeroythi to that of Government land and petitioners were informed that on 19.11.2007, the Tahsildar passed orders under the Andhra Pradesh Assignment (POT) Act, 1977 resuming the lands to Government. Aggrieved thereby petitioners filed appeal to the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO). It appears during pendency of the appeal, counsel representing the petitioners died and therefore, petitioners were not aware of the status of the appeal. Later having come to know that their appeal was rejected, petitioners preferred revision before the Joint Collector. The Joint Collector remitted the matter for consideration of appeal by the Revenue Divisional Officer and RDO heard the arguments. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that infact petitioners also filed written arguments on 07.05.2016 but there is no further progress in the matter.
4.
The documents enclosed to the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition would disclose that written arguments are filed. If that is so, the RDO, Visakhapatnam-3rd respondent is directed to pass orders, on due consideration of the respective submissions by assigning reasons in support of his decision, as expeditiously as
possible, preferably within two (2) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
