This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the land acquisition notification dated 5.1.2007 issued by the respondents to acquire the land of the petitioner to an extent of Ac.0.40 cents in Sy.No.41/5 of Sanapallilanka village, Inavilli Mandal, East Godavari District, as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, to set aside the same and to direct the respondents not to dispossess the petitioner from the above land.

When this matter was taken up for hearing today, it is reported by the learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition that the respondents have no intention to acquire the land of the petitioner and the cause in this writ petition does not survive.

Recording the above submission, the Writ Petition is closed. However, it is made clear that as and when the respondents require the subject land, they are at liberty to do so after initiating the proceedings under the Land Acquisition Act. No costs.
