THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE NO.779 OF 2019 ORDER:

This contempt case was instituted alleging wilful disobedience to the order dated 15.02.2019 passed in W.P.No.27977 of 2018. By the said order, this Court directed the Tahsildar, Khammam (Urban) Mandal, Khammam District, to take appropriate action on the petitioners' request for issuance of e-patta pass books as per their representation dated 10.07.2018.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, State of Telangana, would inform this Court that the Tahsildar, Khammam (Urban) Mandal, took appropriate action in the matter. A copy of the order dated 25.06.2019 passed by the said Tahsidlar is placed on record. Therein, the Tahsildar noted that the petitioners were not in physical possession of the entire land claimed by them and informed them to submit their consent to receive new pass books only for the lands over which they had possession.

In the light of the aforestated order dated 25.06.2019, no inaction can be attributed to the Tahsildar warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction. If the petitioners have any grievance with regard to the aforestated order dated 25.06.2019, it is for them to seek redressal thereof independently in accordance with law.
