Heard Sri Penjuri Venu Gopal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies for the State of Andhra Pradesh appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner's fair price shop was inspected on 25-9-2014 and certain variations have been allegedly noticed in the stocks of essential commodities. Thereafter, a show cause notice was issued and the authorization of the petitioner was suspended by order dated 26-10-2014. Feeling aggrieved, the petitioner preferred the appeal before the 2nd respondent-Collector (Civil Supplies), Ongole, Prakasam district, which is now pending. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the appeal has been preferred long ago, no orders have been passed in the appeal.

3. Under these circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent-Collector (Civil Supplies), Ongole, Prakasam district to hear and dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner within a period of 8 (eight) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
