Heard.

2. Not satisfied with the compensation awarded, the petitioner filed application for enhancement of compensation before the Arbitrator under Section 3G (5) of National Highways Act, 1956. Alleging that there is inordinate delay in hearing and considering the said application, this Writ Petition is filed.

3. Government Pleader produced a copy of the award of the Arbitrator dated 29.06.2019 whereby the Arbitrator partly allowed the claim granting enhancement of Rs.3 lakhs per acre with interest @ 9% per annum.

4. In view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. However, if the petitioner is not satisfied with the quantum of compensation awarded by the Arbitrator, it is open for him to avail appropriate remedy, as per law.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
