THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO Writ Petition No.13083 of 2015 ORDER:

The petitioners claim to be the persons belonging to the backward community. The Social Welfare Department identified land to an extent of 5 acres in Sy.No.772/1 of Kalidindi Village & Mandal, Krishna District, for providing house sites to the weaker sections of the society. According to the petitioners, the said land was divided into plots and allotted to the eligible persons. It is stated that even after the said allotment, the land to an extent of 35 cents is still vacant, and the petitioners, who are entitled to be allotted this land, are eagerly waiting for such allotment.

While so, the Gram Panchayat, with the active connivance of the villagers, is trying to dig cattle pond therein, and in such an event, great prejudice would be caused to the petitioners. Having come to know such a design by some well to do, people of the Village have made a representation to the District Collector, Krishna, the 2nd respondent herein, on 01-07-2013. This was followed by another representation dated 07-04-2015, but so far no orders have been passed. Hence, this writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj, for respondent No.1, learned Government Pleader for Revenue for Respondents 2 to 4 and Sri Ravi Cheemalapati, learned counsel for the respondent No.5.

Hence, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the District Collector, Krishna, the 2nd respondent herein, to consider the representations said to have been made by the petitioners on 01-07-2013 and 07-04-2015 and pass

appropriate orders thereon within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in the writ petition shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. ________________________ P. NAVEEN RAO, J.
