HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.11024 OF 2016 ORDER:

The writ petition is filed questioning the proceedings dated 14.03.2016 issued by the 2nd respondent-District Collector. Heard both sides.

Having regard to the facts of the case, I am not inclined to stay the impugned notice issued by the 2nd respondent-District Collector. However, as can be seen from the proceedings dated 14.03.2016 it is only a notice issued under Section 249(6) of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (for short, "the Act") giving seven days time to the petitioner to submit her explanation.

As the petitioner expresses her difficulty in submitting the explanation on account of the fact that the District Panchayat Officer had issued a notice on 27.10.2015 and commenced the enquiry, a further period of six weeks time is granted to the petitioner to submit her explanation to the impugned notice and the same shall be considered by the District Collector and pass appropriate orders in accordance with the law. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
