The grievance of the petitioner in this case was as to the opening and continuance of a rowdy sheet in his name on the file of Dabeerpura and Musheerabad Police Stations.
Relying on the written instructions dated 30.07.2015 furnished by the SubInspector of Police, Musheerabad Police Station, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home informed this Court that the petitioner was involved in as many as seven cases between the years 2002 and 2011 and therefore, a rowdy sheet was opened and continued in his name on the file of Dabeerpura Police station. Thereafter, as he shifted his residence, it was transferred to the file of Musheerabad Police Station in the year 2004.
However, as all the criminal cases lodged against the petitioner ended in his acquittal and no adverse remarks were received against him in recent times, the
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad, closed the rowdy sheet opened in the name of the petitioner under proceedings dated 28.11.2014. In the light of the aforestated facts, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed and the cause in this writ petition does not survive for consideration. The writ petition is accordingly closed.
Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
