ORDER :

Petitioners in both writ petitions have responded to the recruitment notification no.13/2017 and 14/2017 issued by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to recruit to the posts of Trainee Graduate Teachers and Post Graduate Teachers. In pursuant to the said notification, TSPSC is in the process of conducting preliminary examinations. The limited grievance of the petitioners in both writ petitions is as petitioners are competing to the Language posts in Telugu and Hindi as the case may be, conducting of preliminary examination (screening test) in General Studies and General Abilities in English only is illegal, arbitrary and discriminatory.

According to the learned counsel for petitioners, even for testing their suitability in general studies and general ability, the test should be conducted in Telugu / Hindi, as the case may be and cannot be in English and by conducting tests in English, petitioners would be put to great disadvantage. 3.

Learned Additional Advocate General produced the Web Notification copy signed by the Secretary, dated 26.04.2016. It reads as under:

"The candidates who applied for the post of PGT (Notfn.No. 13/17) and TGT (Notfn.No.14/17) languages posts i.e., (Telugu, Hindi and Urdu) are hereby informed that, the Question Paper for the Screening Test will be supplied in the particular language only i.e., the Telugu paper will be in Telugu language. However, the questions related to Basic Proficiency in English will be in English version only for

languages posts also. The entire Question Paper for Sanskrit will be in English version only."

In view of the clarification given by the TSPSC, the grievance of the petitioners is now answered and, therefore, no further orders are required in the writ petitions. Writ petitions are accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in these writ petitions shall stand closed.
