This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in placing the petitioner's name in the detention list restraining the petitioner from appearing the 1st semester examinations of the 4th year B.Tech (E.C.E.) engineering course as illegal and arbitrary.

At the time of hearing, both counsel submitted that the purpose of filing the writ petition has become infructuous. 3.

Hence, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
