When the matter came up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent states that during pendency of the above writ petition, the petitioner was promoted as Deputy Executive Engineer on 03.03.2014 and the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

The said fact is not disputed by learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the above submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ Petition shall stand closed.
