This petition is filed, under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short, 'Cr.P.C.'), for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner-accused No. 1 in Crime No. 201 of 2017 of Vijayawada I Town Police Station, Vijayawada City, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 IPC read with Section 156 (3) Cr.P.C.

After arguing for awhile, Sri D.Kasim Saheb, learned counsel for the petitioner, has requested this Court to direct the police concerned to follow the procedure prescribed under Section 41-A Cr.P.C. and the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Ar n esh Ku m ar Vs. St at e of Bih ar 1. 3.

Acceding to the request of learned counsel for the petitioner, without touching the merits of the case, the Station House Officer, Vijayawada I Town Police Station, Vijayawada City, is directed to follow the procedure contemplated under Section 41-A Cr.P.C. and the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Ar n esh Ku m ar (supra).

With the above direction, the criminal petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions if any shall stand closed in consequence.
